Therefore the body has become accustomed to this habit and expects a supply of sugar calories at a certain time. Now take a look at what you consume at other times during the day. If you love junk food then your body has learned to crave it and the sugar that it supplies. It will certainly challenge you both physically and mentally, if you abruptly stop supplying it with the calories it obtains from the junk food. Start the change slowly and gradually and this will make it easier for you to stick to your weight loss plans.

Your body needs to be treated with kindness. The way to start eating healthy is to change one habit at a time. Let's take another look at soda pop. Most people will tell you to substitute diet pop for regular pop. Eliminating one can of soda pop a day will reduce your calorie intake by 200. However, the body will be looking for that sugar and will get it elsewhere because it will keep hounding away at you until you reach for some other food that contains sugar. It may run smoothly past your palate, but your system will not take kindly to the change. A juice cocktail is a better alternative than a diet pop. A glass contains half juice and half water with ice added to make it cold. While you will get some sugar, you will feel refreshed. The sugar in this drink comes from fruit and not corn sweeteners.

Gradually change one eating habit by giving your body the time it needs to adjust. When your body starts to crave a fruit cocktail instead of a soda pop, then you know that a change has taken place. It will become as automatic as drinking pop. When you are satisfied that your body has made the adjustment to this change, you can feel confident in making another one. Don't be in a hurry. Many dieters bite off more than they can chew and for this reason they fail to lose weight on a diet. When you want to lose weight quickly you do need to have realistic expectation because it didn't go on fast either.
